The route
Two capitals, one hour
Only around 65 kilometres separate Vienna and Bratislava. Your chauffeur takes the A4 and A6 motorways to the border at Kittsee and reaches Bratislava’s old town in about 60–75 minutes. From Vienna Airport the journey is shorter still.
Many guests combine the journey with a flight: arrival at Vienna Airport, onward to Bratislava – or the other way round, pickup at BTS airport and a drive to Vienna. In that direction, too, the chauffeur waits in the arrivals hall with a name sign.

Do I need a passport for the border?
Both countries are in the Schengen area and there are no routine border checks. A valid passport or identity card must still be carried; spot checks do happen.
