The price applies to this route, about 250 km. Not included: admission, meals, guided tours, boats and cable cars. Please book at least 24 hours ahead. For other routes, for example to the Kamptal or St. Pölten, we give you the price in advance.
The Wachau at your pace
The Wachau is the Danube valley between Melk and Krems, just over an hour west of Vienna. Vineyards, apricot orchards and abbeys – a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2000. You choose the order, the stops and the breaks.
A suggested day
Also possible: a winery, Aggstein castle ruins, Spitz or a boat trip on the Danube. During Advent, several towns in the Wachau hold Christmas markets.

Melk Abbey
Baroque abbey above the Danube with library, church and gardens. About 75–90 minutes from Vienna.

Blue church tower and the castle ruins where Richard the Lionheart was held. Lanes for a walk and lunch.

Questions about the Wachau day trip
What does the day-trip price include?
A car and chauffeur for 8 hours and about 250 kilometres. Tolls and parking are included, and card payment has no fee. Not included: admission, tastings, meals and child seats (€ 10 per seat).
Can I choose the route myself?
Yes. Melk, Dürnstein and Krems are only a suggestion. Add your plans in the message field when you book.
What if the day takes longer?
Each extra hour costs the hourly rate of your class, from € 95. Your chauffeur lets you know in time.
Can the trip start at Vienna Airport?
Yes, and your luggage stays in the car. Meet & Greet with a name sign costs € 12 extra.
Does the chauffeur speak English and know the region?
Yes, German and English, and they know the Wachau. They do not replace a licensed tour guide, but we can arrange one.
