Route and drive time
Prague is about 330 kilometres north-west of Vienna. The drive crosses the border near Mikulov, goes to Brno and from there on the D1 motorway to Prague. Without breaks it takes about 3¾–4 hours each way.
In Prague, your chauffeur drives you from place to place, for example from the castle to the Old Town. Allow some time for these rides because of city traffic and pedestrian zones.

A suggested day
A suggestion for about 4 hours: start up at the castle and walk downhill into the Old Town. Your chauffeur drops you off near the castle and picks you up near the Old Town.

The castle complex above the Vltava with St. Vitus Cathedral and Golden Lane. Admission is not included.

Lesser Town (Malá Strana)
Baroque houses and St. Nicholas Church below the castle. From here you walk to Charles Bridge.

The stone bridge over the Vltava with its statues, for pedestrians only. There are bridge towers at both ends.

The main square of the Old Town with the Old Town Hall, the astronomical clock and the Týn Church.

Good to know
Drop-off and parking
The castle and the Old Town are largely pedestrian zones. Your chauffeur stops as close as the rules allow, parks nearby and picks you up at the agreed time.
In summer
In summer Charles Bridge is busy during the day. Allow some extra time to cross it.
During Advent
During Advent there are Christmas markets, for example on Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square. The Old Town is then busier than usual.

How much is the ride from Vienna to Prague?
One way costs € 750 per car in Business Class, the day trip with 12 hours € 1,170. Tolls and motorway stickers for Austria and the Czech Republic are always included.
How much time do we have in Prague?
About 4 hours. The ride there and the ride back take about 3¾–4 hours each, depending on traffic. Leave early in the morning and you are in Prague by late morning.
Can you pick us up in Prague and take us to Vienna?
Yes, as a one-way ride at the same price as Vienna – Prague. We pick you up at your hotel or Prague main station and take you to Vienna or Vienna Airport. From Prague Airport, a separate fixed price applies, from € 810. Enter your pickup in Prague when you book. The day trip is only available from Vienna.
Can we stop in Brno on the way?
Yes, on the day trip. Brno is on the route. The break comes out of your time in Prague. Add your wish when you book.
